We want to be your local mechanic.

C E R Auto Service got its start in a garage in western Hanover County where Rick Yates taught his son Eric everything he knows about vehicle maintenance. “If you take care of your vehicle, it will take care of you,” was the philosophy passed down from father to son. Eric took that philosophy with him to J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College where he earned his degree in Automotive Technology. Together with their friend and skilled mechanic, Chris Kelley, they turned that philosophy into a business plan.

On St Patrick’s Day in 2008, C E R Auto Service opened the doors of its new home behind Carter Lumber. C E R is a family owned and operated business with a commitment to providing quality service at reasonable prices for its customers.

At C E R, Eric and Chris will take care of your car as if it was their own. Each vehicle brought to the shop receives the “We Care Services” as part of the repair or maintenance being performed on the vehicle.   The “We Care Services” includes such things as visually inspecting the underside of the vehicle, tires, exhaust system, drive train, hoses, belts, wiper blades and much more, every time your vehicle comes in for service at no extra charge. This service is what C E R believes keeps their customers safe.

While Chris, Eric and Rick hope to see C E R expand over the years, you can always expect that small town atmosphere of a family owned business when you walk through the door.  Pull up a chair and help yourself to a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or a cold drink of water; watch TV while your car is being worked on, or watch through our viewing window so you can see the work being done.

If you want to learn more about C E R and the “We Care Services” and have Eric or Chris take care of your vehicle, come see them on Route 1 in Ashland, in the yellow building behind Carter Lumber or just give them a call at 752-0043.  At C E R Auto Service we respect our customers and their vehicles.

You will never have to worry about whether or not you will be treated fairly when you come to C E R because once you walk through the door; you become a part of our family. We do not pay commission so you will never be pressured into buying something.  We want to be your local mechanic.

So come see us on Route 1 in the yellow building behind Carter Lumber and you’ll find that we stand behind our “We Care Services.”
